Why Did You Go Vegan?CathyI decided to go vegan after realizing the hypocrisy and health implications of continuing to eat dairy, eggs, and other animal by-products even though I didn't eat the "flesh." And considering that I never ate much of these items to begin with, I decided to make the transition. Too, I also have a soft spot for animals and it pains me to know that animals have to endure such cruelty in their shortened lives in order for humans to consume them. What the world's consumption of animals is doing to the planet is of great concern to me, as well.
