Why Did You Go Vegan?

During the summer after grade 3 my brother, dad and I went on a road trip to a family reunion. And on the way all I did was complain about how much I hated McDonalds and all that fast-food junk and my brother half-jokingly sugested that I become a vegetarian.

That night we were driving behind a big truck and it smelled really bad and i asked my dad what the smell was, and he told me that there were cows in the back of that truck, so i asked him why... and he told me they were going to be made into meat. I guess I hadn't realized what everything I was eating was. About a year later I became a vegan.
